ACTING

Tess Finch is an Australian actor based in Vancouver, Canada. She has built her work around intimate, offbeat storytelling, with a lane spanning coming-of-age, queer romance, psychological horror, dark comedy, and character-driven drama. She is drawn to flawed protagonists, complicated relationships, heightened emotional worlds, and stories that find the light within tragedy.

Her leading screen credits include The Monologue, A Little Burnt, Bend To Your Will, Again., Offside, One Last Time, and Safe and Sound, alongside a recurring role in the anthology horror series Project Shivers. On stage, she received Best Supporting Actor at Brisbane’s Freshblood Festival for her performance as Monica in The Lab.

Tess holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Distinction from Queensland University of Technology. She has trained in screen acting and the Meisner technique at New York City’s Maggie Flanigan Studio under Charlie Sandlan and Emmy Award-winning actress Erin Cherry, as well as with Deb Podowski and other industry practitioners.

With a foundation in independent storytelling, Tess is interested in carrying this sensibility into increasingly ambitious worlds and characters. She is drawn to filmmakers and storytellers who find the extraordinary in the intimate, and to roles that ask her to dig deeper than ever before.
